For all these bridges I burn and all these barriers I put into place I never, ever forget about the people on the other side that I will never see again and I will never speak to. I think about them a lot. I think about them every couple of days.
I talk a big game but I very rarely walk it. I act as if I can turn my back on anyone who I think has disrespected me but I never do. I keep it up until I'm sure they're good and gone, when I'm sure they will never see me again. And then I break.
Though I always meet more wonderful people, though I always find my place in the world, I never forget those other places I found and took for granted.
